Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness Installation - 2021 Jeep Cherokee- Video
Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer and today we're taking a look and installing the CURT Trailer Wiring Harness for a 2021 Jeep Cherokee. If you're adding a hitch to your Cherokee or maybe you already have one adding some 4-pole wiring to it is gonna be beneficial if you ever plan on pulling a trailer, because this is gonna give you the light sequence when you are driving your vehicle to the trailer lights and sometimes even accessories now use lights on them, some bike racks will have them and this will give you your running lights, your turn signals, as well as your brake lights. And this one's pretty easy to do because it uses factory style plugs to tie into your taillights so it's not gonna cause any issue as far as tying into your wiring. It's just gonna simply jumper from that and it's module protected, meaning if there is any issues as far as backfeed from your trailer it's not gonna damage any of your factory electronics. Now this is obviously a great option if you do plan on pulling a trailer 'cause it's gonna keep you safe and legal and honestly just keep you safe. That way people know what you're intending to do. more

Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness Installation - 2021 Jeep Cherokee- Video
Hey everybody, how's it going Today we're gonna be going over and showing you how to install the Tekonsha T-One trailer wiring harness here on our 2021 Jeep Cherokee. So a trailer wiring harness is gonna be one of the few things that you need in order to tow a trailer here with your Cherokee. In addition to the wiring harness, we're gonna need a trailer hitch as well as a ball mount/hitch ball. We do offer all of these components at etrailer, you can pick up with your wiring harness. The trailer wiring harness, simply put, is gonna transfer the signals from our vehicle to the trailer, so we can let other motorists out in the road know what signals we're gonna be making. Now a lot of times our camper trailers actually block the tail lights on the vehicle so we need a way to signal other motorists out on the road. more

Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness Installation - 2019 Jeep Cherokee- Video
Hi there Cherokee owners, today on our 2019 Jeep Cherokee we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install Curt's four pole flat trailer connector vehicle wiring harness.This four pole wiring harness is going to provide you with all the necessary lighting signals to keep you DOT compliant in all States, this includes your left turn signal, right turn signal, tail lamps, and brake lamps. One of the things that I really like about this harness is the included module. The module will intercept all of the lighting signals from your factory wiring, and then the module produces the signals that go to our four pole flat trailer connector. What's nice about this is if there's any faults on your trailer wiring the module can shut down that circuit to prevent any damage from occurring.In the event the modules unable to shut the circuit down in time, our module has its own dedicated fuse. The fuse will open and prevent any damage from occurring on our vehicle's wiring. We simply need to just repair our trailer and then replace the fuse.And you're probably wondering, do I even need wiring on my Cherokee That just depends on what you're going to be using it for. more

Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness Installation - 2019 Jeep Cherokee- Video
Today we're going to be taking a look at, and I'm going to show you how to install, the Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector, on our 2019 Jeep Cherokee. This is what it's going to look like when it's installed. It's going to live outside of the vehicle, it's going to give us our 4-pole plug, it's going to give us all of our proper lighting functions, both turn signals, running lights, and brake lights. It's going to have a attached dust cap, that not only is going to protect our connections from dirt and debris, but it can also double as a holder when not in use to keep our wiring from dragging on the ground. It's going to provide us with 5 amps per circuit for our stop and turn signals, 7.5 amps per circuit for our tail lights. Now if you're wanting a more permanent mounting location, we do offer or we do have, no drill mounting brackets that you can attach directly to the hitch of the vehicle.Now that we've gone over some of the features, let's show you how to get it installed. more

Speaker 1: Today we're going to be taking a look at the best custom fit vehicle wiring harnesses available for the 2018 Jeep Cherokee. The first option we have available is going to be for those of you that already have a factory tow package available, just looking to add some options there. This is part number HM40975-11933, which will be your factory-correct pigtail. The other two options we have are for those of you that don't already have a factory tow package. From Tekonsha we have part number 118605, and from CURT, part number C56208.Now for those of you with a factory tow package, this is going to be a really nice choice to not only have the seven-pole on the back of your vehicle, but also get your four-pole. You'll see internally on both sides we've got a rubber gasket in there to help protect everything. more

We'll kind of move the wires out of the way. It's like a rubber epoxy. This goes around all of our internal components and keeps them from moving around and can help to absorb road shock. more

Speaker 1: Today on our 2017 Jeep Cherokee we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Tekonsha T1 Vehicle Wiring Harness with Four Pole Flat Trailer Connector, part number 118605.Here's what our wiring's going to look like once we have it fully installed. It is going to give us a four pole flat trailer connector, and it is going to stay on the outside of the vehicle at all times, which is going to be nice because it's going to be right here next to our hitch whenever we're ready to tow. Now, it's going to provide us with taillights, turn signals, and brake lights to make sure that everybody behind us knows that we're towing a trailer and we can stay within the law.Something you're going to like about this wiring is the fact that it's going to have a built in dust cover that's not going to come off, so we don't have to worry about losing it. We can actually use it to not only protect our connector, but also attach it to our hitch so our wiring's not just going to be hanging down dangling. Now that we've seen what it looks like and the final result, let's show you how to get it installed.To begin our installation, we're going to open up our rear hatch, and we're going to need to remove our taillights. Now, each one of our taillights is going to have two fasteners holding it in place, and we're going to need to grab a T30 torques bit to remove them. more

This is what your wiring kit's going to look like when you get it out of your packaging. As you can see, it's going to offer our 4-pole flat trailer connector. This is going to give us right turn and brake, left turn and brake, running light signal, and also ground to make sure everything functions properly. Now, to do that, it's going to use signals it picks up with the t-connector, you see this is going to plug directly in line in our factory harness. And that's going to trigger our converter box to send out the appropriate signals to our trailer. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2016 Jeep Cherokee- Video
Today, in our 2016 Jeep Cherokee, we will be installing the Tow Ready T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector, part number 118605. Here's what our wiring kit consists of: we have two easy connect here which will go to our taillights; a nice little module box here and the 4-pole flat trailer connector itself; we have some wire which will run from our module box directly to our battery where we will install our fuse holder and the included 15 amp fuse; we have two butt connectors here for making our connections between the fuse holder, the wire, and the module box; a ring terminal which will go to a positive terminal of our battery; self-tapping screw for our ground wire off the module box; several zip ties here to secure the wiring along the way; some double sided tape to secure our module box to the body of our vehicle; we have nice instructions here which we will follow, step-by-step to make sure we install this properly. Make sure you read those before you begin your installation. Now that we've gone over what's included with our kit, we'll go ahead and show you how to install it. We'll begin our installation with opening our rear hatch. There's two T30 bolts on either taillight. We'll go ahead and remove those. Do the same on the other side. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2015 Jeep Cherokee c56208- Video
All right, today in this 2015 Jeep Cherokee, we're going to install a Curt T Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness, part number C56208. We'll go ahead and lay out our parts before we install it. This is our wire harness right here, and this is one of the T connectors. The T connector with the yellow wire goes to the driver side, T connector with the green wire goes over to the passenger side. We also have the black wire that gets connected up to an extra length of wire here, that eventually gets rammed to the battery. Once we get to the battery, it has a fuse holder right here, and also has a small parts kit with a fuse, some zip ties, and adhesive for the module as well. We'll go ahead and take the pan on the bottom and raise it up. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 1999 Jeep Cherokee- Video
Today, on our 1999 Jeep Cherokee, we'll be installing the tow-ready T-1 connector, part number 118354. We'll go ahead and show you how to use the new 4 pole connector. We'll simply take it, run it to the center of the vehicle and out, staying away from the latch as pinching the wire off in the latch can harm it. However, the weather stripping is thick enough that it won't, and we'll simply close the rear cargo door on the wire. Then, we can go ahead and pull out the new 4 pole wire as necessary to go down to the hitch or accessory. Then, once we're finished using our new 4 pole wire, we'll simply role it up and store it underneath the spare tire. To begin our install, we'll first open up the rear cargo door. more

Today, on this 2014 Jeep Cherokee, were going to install part number C56208 from Curt. This is the Curt T-connector vehicle wiring harness with a four-pole flat. Were going to need to get access back on the taillights so were going to have to open the back hatch. Now, our next step is very important. Well go to underneath the hood and disconnect the battery. Those electronics in this vehicle are so sensitive but this is essential to do this part. Well loosen up the negative terminal and just pull it off. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 1998 Jeep Cherokee- Video
Today on our 1998 Jeep Cherokee we'll be installing the Tow Ready T-One Connector. Part number 118354. To install our new connector we'll first need to open up the rear cargo area. Then we'll remove the spare tire bracket. Then we'll remove the six screws securing the rear threshold, and the three screws securing the driver's side rear quarter panel. Next we'll identify the plug we'll be plugging inline with at the manufacturer's harness. This will be the white plug closest to the rear cargo door. Before I make my connection I'm going to go ahead and start routing my wire back in behind the interior trim panel. Now with my wire fed over to the connector, we'll simply press on the locking tab and disconnect the two manufacturer's connection points. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2001 Jeep Cherokee- Video
Alright today in this 2001 Jeep Cherokee, we're going to install part number 118354, from Tow Ready. First thing we need to do is go ahead and open up the back hatch, and remove the spare tire. After the spare tire is removed, we'll go ahead and remove the threshold as well. Okay, now we also have to remove the spare tire stand as well. Then we ahead and start work on pulling back the interior panel. Alright, once we have the panel pulled out of the way, we can see a row of connectors. The connector that's closest to the end of the vehicle is the one we want to plug into. So we'll disconnect it, and the install the T connector. Then we'll go ahead and locate the factory ground wire, and we'll attach a white wire at the ring terminal to there. Once we clean off the location for our converter box, we'll go ahead and remove the adhesive backing an install it. Now I go ahead and reinstall the interior panel, and the components, as well as the spare tire components. With that, that finishes our install. Now go ahead and show you how to use the four pull harness, it's stored inside the vehicle until it needs to be used. Next we'll pull out a little bit of the harness, and shut the hatch on it. Then we'll pull out what we need to go to our trailer. more

Today on our 2014 Jeep Cherokee, well be installing the tow-ready T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with four-pole connector part number 118605. Now, to begin our install, well first go ahead and open up the rear cargo door. Then, well remove the spare tire wheel cover. Then well remove the cargo hooks here at the threshold. To remove them, well have the first pop-up plastic cap and then remove the Torx bit screw underneath. Now with those removed, we can remove the rear threshold by gently prying up on the threshold and releasing the fasteners underneath. Well set the threshold aside. Next, well remove the plastic surround in the spare tire wheel. more

Today on its 2000 Jeep Cherokee Sport well be installing part number 118354 from Tow Ready. T-one Harness install inside the vehicle sort of back catch and get access to the Wire Harness. All right a wire harness is behind this panel right here. The normal is spare tire align this is the spare tire not here. So were going to remove the threshold so that way we can have room to remove panel here on the side.Our T-One connects on fit in between these two pieces. So, lets go ahead and disconnect them. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 1997 Jeep Cherokee- Video
Today on this 1997 Jeep Cherokee we are going to install part number 118354 from Tow Ready. This T connector fits inside the vehicle on the driver side behind the tail light so what we need to do is get inside the vehicle to remove the spare tire and some interior panels. Now remove the fasteners for the spare tire bracket. Next we will remove the threshold panel. Now we need to remove the fasteners for this panel here. You do not have to take the whole panel loose but just for clarity we took it off. This is the connector right here that we have to disconnect and put our T connector into. It helps to pull this out a little bit to make easier working room. Push down this tab right here and it comes right apart and the T connector plugs right in between.
